Pryer is a neighbourhood safety application operated by Riemann Solutions Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), registered in Australia. We can be contacted at privacy@pryer.app.

We collect the following categories of personal information:

Account Information: Your name, email address, and profile photo when you register. If you sign in via Google, Apple, or Facebook, we receive only the information those services share with us under their privacy settings.

Phone Number: Only if you voluntarily enable phone call alerts (Pryer+ feature) or complete phone verification. Your number is used solely to send Twilio-powered voice alerts and to elevate your reporter trust tier.

Home Address & Location: Your home address and its geographic coordinates are stored to show you relevant nearby incidents. Your precise GPS location is accessed temporarily when you report an incident or centre the map — it is never stored on our servers in real time.

Incident Reports: Content you submit (descriptions, photos, videos), the time and approximate location of each incident. Exact street addresses are never stored — all locations are snapped to the nearest road segment and displayed at suburb/city level only.

Comments & Votes: Text you post in comments and replies, and your votes on events.

Device & Usage Data: Firebase Analytics (usage patterns, screen views), crash logs, and your FCM device token for push notifications. We do not sell or share analytics data with advertisers.

Subscription Data: Your subscription status (Pryer Free or Pryer+) managed via RevenueCat. We do not store payment card details — these are handled entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play.

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Pryer app

• Deliver push notifications, email digests, and phone call alerts relevant to your location

• Verify your identity and reporter trust tier

• Moderate content and prevent abuse

• Manage your subscription via RevenueCat

• Send transactional emails (welcome, event confirmations, security alerts) via Resend

• Comply with our legal obligations

We take location privacy seriously. We do not store your real-time GPS position. When you submit an incident report, the location is snapped to the nearest road segment — the exact coordinates you provided are discarded and only the road midpoint is retained. Incidents are displayed to other users at suburb or city level only. Your home address is visible only to you.

We share your information only with:

Firebase / Google Cloud: Our core infrastructure provider for authentication, database, file storage, and push notifications (Google, USA). Firebase processes data under the Google Cloud Data Processing Addendum.

RevenueCat: Manages your subscription entitlements (USA). RevenueCat receives your Firebase user ID and subscription events.

Twilio: Sends phone call alerts if you enable this Pryer+ feature (USA). We share only your phone number and the alert content.

Bunny CDN: Hosts and transcodes videos you upload (Europe/global CDN).

Resend: Delivers transactional and digest emails on our behalf (USA).

Law Enforcement: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.

We do not sell your personal information.

• Incident reports: Automatically deleted after 6 months.

• Notifications: Automatically deleted after 1 month.

• Your account: Retained until you delete your account. On deletion, your Firestore profile is immediately anonymised (display name set to "Deleted User", email removed, photo removed). Firebase Auth credentials are permanently deleted.

• Media files: Images and videos you upload are deleted when you delete the associated incident report, or when you delete your account.

Depending on your location you may have rights to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you

• Correct inaccurate data

• Delete your account and associated data (via Account Settings → Delete Account)

• Export your data

• Object to certain processing

• Withdraw consent for optional features (e.g. disable phone alerts)

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@pryer.app. We will respond within 30 days.

Pryer is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with their information, please contact us at privacy@pryer.app and we will delete it promptly.

The Pryer mobile app does not use cookies. Firebase Analytics collects anonymised usage data to help us improve the app. You can opt out of analytics by contacting us. The Pryer website (pryer.app) may use standard analytics tools; see your browser's settings to control tracking.

We implement industry-standard security measures including Firebase App Check to prevent unauthorised API access, Firestore security rules restricting data access to authenticated owners, server-side content moderation (Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch for images, keyword filtering for text), and TLS encryption for all data in transit. No system is completely secure — if you discover a vulnerability, please contact security@pryer.app.

Pryer is operated from Australia. Some of our service providers (Firebase, RevenueCat, Twilio, Resend) are based in the United States. By using Pryer, you consent to your information being processed in the USA and other jurisdictions where our providers operate. These providers maintain appropriate data protection safeguards.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
